A more folky sounding tune, I had a lot of fun writing it, and I think the lyrics turned out pretty good.
lyrics
Walking around with a craving to spill
all these memories i tried to drown
but they float as i sink
like those long summer years i slept alone
i blacked out in school, and nobody noticed
my teachers graded missing papers
scavenging to find the source
of these failing marks
i burned out what i held so dear
now my heart beats so unclear
like my vision on a lonely night
or far away stars, too dim to shine
and I've got worries like i left
but i refuse to care
when you get so high
coming down is your only fear
yeah, momma gave me the world
she never thought i would throw it away,
like this, so easily,
just to burn a few hours
and some glass too hot to touch
but cool enough to love
Yeah, momma gave me the world
but i just don't care...
